Plasa

13-16 September 2009

This year’s PLASA Show returned to Earls Court London on 13-16 September. After quite a positive Prolight + Sound Frankfurt earlier in the year, everyone waited with bated breathe to see what PLASA 09, up there in the top three tradeshows in Europe, would pull out of the bag.

Though the positive vibe about the industry being on the up remained amongst the exhibitors and visitors, the show itself seemed to have gone the other way. Stand sizes had been scaled down, the aisles seemed considerabley wider than last year and some of Hall 1 that was full last year, was sectioned off altogether. There was also a cut back in the signage department, in fact there was no aisles labelling at all, which made things rather difficult, especially for any first time visitors to the show. Despite all of that, the response did seem to be positive, though some said the show may be moving more towards being a national show rather than international. Most agreed that the PLASA Show was still an important exhibiton to be seen at, and said they would be returning next year.
