The award-winning U.S. Southeast rep company Millar Electronics has changed its name to Mavric Incorporated, following the retirement of Herman Civils. Led by Pete Petty, who takes over as principal, Mavric maintains all the lines it represents including Community which had recently named the company its Rep of the Year.
Pete Petty commented, “I’m excited to say we are ready to go to work under our new corporation with a renewed excitement towards growing our collective businesses and representing our brands to the highest level possible across the Southeast U.S. states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama.” “The Southeast has a rich heritage of bringing people together for big moments. Corporate progress in major cities, houses of worship in small towns, live music venues, sporting events ranging from NASCAR to competitive football at every level. The list goes on and on and the need for pro solutions is great,” continued Pete, “Who better to partner with than Community to meet the need with professionalism, reliability and quality products.”
Mike Marr, Community’s Eastern Regional Manager, said with a chuckle, “When Millar’s sales team chose Mavric as their new company name, I couldn’t help but think of the 1986 Tom Cruise movie ‘Top Gun’. As Millar Electronics morphs into Mavric, they are indeed the Top Gun for Community having just been awarded Rep of the Year at InfoComm. The team is aggressive and full of energy doing more loudspeaker demos small and large, indoor and out, than one can count. Also, their level of communication is just what we want from a Top Gun rep force.”
“The Southeast is a ‘target rich environment’ with a vast array of opportunities for our CODE family of products,” added Mike. “The Mavric team has great relationships with their dealers having worked with them and established their credibility and professionalism over many years. As we move forward with a new company name but thankfully the same familiar faces, we’re excited to be working with an even more energetic and resourceful crew who hasn’t ‘lost that loving feeling’ for doing demos and looking out for the best interest of their dealers. The only thing we need to figure out now is which ones are Mav, Goose, Iceman, Jester and Slider!”
