Leading provider of audio-visual equipment, Audiologic is delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Spurgeon to the post of Application Support Engineer. Ben, who holds a first-class BSc honors degree in Audio Recording and Production from the University of Hertfordshire, joins the company from Sound Technology and will be working alongside existing engineer Yavor ‘Max’ Yanakiev to strengthen the team in response to rising demand for in-house and on-site support from its growing customer base.
Ben has varied experience in all aspects of AV system design and installation in a wide variety of settings and is familiar with all the major professional audio brands. A specialist in digital processing systems, with an extensive knowledge of audio over IP, including the development of projects with multiple digital audio protocols, Ben holds a host of professional certifications including Dante Level 2. This particular certification dovetails neatly with Audiologic’s recent selection as an approved reseller for Audinate Dante Domain Manager software. Very much on the technical fast-track, Ben regularly revisits the University of Hertfordshire as a guest lecturer in the audio-visual field, something that attests to the high levels of skill and knowledge he has accumulated in a comparatively short career to date.
Andy Lewis, Sales and Marketing Director at Audiologic is pleased to have such a prodigious talent on board:
“Ben possesses precisely the kind of expertise essential to support our customers in the often complex and challenging world of contemporary AV installation. He has worked on schemes of all types and sizes and the fact that he is a sought-after visiting lecturer tells you all you need to know about his credentials! He will add another dimension to the excellent work already being carried out by Max Yanakiev, joining a team with an ever-increasing capacity to provide our customers with top-flight service and further sharpening our competitive edge.”
Ben looks forward to the challenges:
“I’m hugely excited to be joining the Audiologic team at such an important time for the company. Having previously worked on projects with them, I was well aware of the consistent high standards they maintain. My background in system design and technical roles within the industry meant that this position really appealed to me, giving me the opportunity to further expand and develop my skills through access to Audiologic’s top tier product portfolio. With our new demonstration and training space nearing completion – and looking brilliant! – I’m really looking forward to planning and conducting the training courses we’ll be running as of early 2018.”
