Just Add Power (J+P), the leader in Ultra HD over IP, announces that its 3G Ultra Over IP platform is delivering content to the new video wall system installed in the atrium of the University of Indianapolis Health Pavilion.
The video distribution system — donated by Pamela and Ed Qualls, president and CEO of J+P — allows the school to share information across campus.
“These video walls are a dynamic window into the student and faculty achievements taking place across the school,” said Qualls. “As a proud alumnus, I am honoured Just Add Power could be part of this project and leverage innovative technology to share all that is happening across this great institution. I hope this installation marks the beginning of an intentional effort to connect every screen on campus to enhance campus-wide communications.”
At the heart of the state-of-the-art display is J+P’s 3G Ultra Over IP family of transmitters and receivers. Designed to provide a unique, affordable, and truly scalable video distribution system, the 3G Ultra Over IP platform can meet the requirements of any project up to 4K with HDR distribution, even as the project changes over the course of the installation, expands over time, or formats evolve in the future.
Every J+P video device can be mixed and matched with other models across its product line, allowing integrators to build a future-proof infrastructure that suits the application and saves on costs without sacrificing enhanced functionality, such as audio extraction, downmix from Dolby 5.1, and CEC control in zones.
During a recent dedication ceremony, the video wall displayed work from arts and engineering students. The display also celebrated the heritage of Indiana Central College and the University of Indianapolis with vector-based images of the campus community at different points during the 20th century. These maps were created by art and design students working with Assistant Professor Randi Frye. President Robert L. Manuel presented the Qualls with the inaugural map representing 1986.
“Ed, Pamela, and Just Add Power have helped the University of Indianapolis create a dynamic tool that can be used not only inform the community but drive a canvas that is unlimited in potential, scope, and scale,” Manuel said. “The video wall spotlights our students and staff and the events taking place on campus. We’re grateful for the donation from Just Add Power that helped us bring our vision forward.”
