PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips digital signage, LED and pro TV products, software, and innovations, has confirmed InfoComm 21, will host the world’s first-ever live demonstrations of the Crestron XiO Cloud on a Philips professional display.
Taking place on the Philips booth (#3421), in Orlando, FL this week, the announcements come just weeks after PPDS become one of the first display manufacturers on the planet to gain Crestron XiO Cloud certification. The partnership, which extends the relationship between the two tech companies, has been hailed as the most advanced and complete version of the award-winning control and management solution available anywhere in the current market, driving productivity and long-term financial gains for customers.
Bruce Wyrwitzke, Director of Digital Signage at PPDS, said: “We’re thrilled to finally be able to offer the world’s first live public demonstration of this incredible collaboration between PPDS and Crestron to the AV industry. What better place is there to do so than here at InfoComm?”
He continued: “At PPDS we always want to go the extra mile for our customers and that is commitment is demonstrated here. For Crestron XiO Cloud on Philips displays, we’ve gone deeper than many other manufacturers to maximize the benefits and capabilities of the ground-breaking solution. Offering the ultimate experience and performance for our partners and customers.”
The ever-evolving Crestron XiO Cloud makes the ability to deploy, manage, monitor, and evolve workplace displays a simple, fast and secure process, enabling remote control of the display’s functions from a single location (including via a Crestron touchscreen device or a web UI dashboard).
Built on the Microsoft Azure platform, Crestron XiO Cloud integrates seamlessly with a wide range of Philips Windows, and Android digital displays and pro TVs, supporting the hospitality, retail, public venues and corporate industries, among others.
With Crestron XiO Cloud, customers can now configure thousands of Philips professional displays in the time it takes to configure one, with customers able to centrally configure and provision all their Philips professional displays in all rooms before the products have even been installed and without visiting the site. Once displays are connected to the network, they will automatically retrieve their settings, programs, and firmware specific to the environment being used, and immediately begin reporting data. This can cut installation times for new devices by up to 90pc.
Updates can be scheduled on individual displays or collectively, entirely remotely, and at a convenient time – such as during non-office hours – or staggered across rooms’ usage or occupancy for greater levels of efficiency, consistency, and security to the workplace. All this and much more.
