“Alboa is the first entertainment hall in Mexico with the firm mission of providing the best entertainment experience to our guests, by combining in one place the best gastronomy, mixology, bowling, sports bar and live shows,” explained Maritza Licerio Sarabia, Marketing Manager at Cinemex Group.
“We are currently innovating our concept of entertainment by incorporating impressive scenarios to enjoy live shows, with state-of-the-art systems and with capacity for 300 to 1,200 people, in spaces equipped to generate the best experience. We call this concept “Alboa Live”.
The Mexican entertainment chain, which is part of the Cinemex Group, has always acknowledged the major role that AV plays in its centres as the best option for ensuring unique experiences for its customers. With the plans in place for new innovations, Cinemex Group acquired 85 Christie 1DLP laser projectors for its 13 centres. The chain was already using Christie lamp-based projectors, but has recently decided to make the move to laser projection technology in order to give its audiences a whole new level of image quality, as well as to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
“For Alboa, the audiovisual aspect is one of the most important elements in our centres. We look for large formats with excellent quality so that our guests can enjoy a unique experience when viewing our visual content, sport events, concerts and shows,” added Maritza.
“This is the main reason why we upgraded our projection systems to the Christie GS laser series. In addition, this technology has the perfect combination of image quality, energy savings and low operating cost.
“At Alboa, we always look for fun and technology to be everywhere in our venues. The visual configuration we use is to make our content to be seen everywhere, without you having to strain to see it. We want our audience to always be comfortable and, in our bowling alleys, this is no exception, since they are equipped with at least five projectors of the Christie GS Series, projecting on a single canvas, generating spectacular images of great quality and brightness.”
