The GBI Keluarga Allah (Family of God) Church turned to ASIIS to design a lighting system.
ASIIS delivered this package with a system that includes over 70 Chauvet Professional fixtures.
Andy Mulya Sutikno of ASIIS said: “We have been supplying the church for over 10 years with quality products that reflect our own core values. This is a beautiful new building, and we wanted to match it with lighting that reflected the fine features of the surroundings.
“We also wanted lighting that was bright and colourful enough to support the musical parts of services. At the same time, we needed our lights to have colour temperatures that made different skin tones look natural on camera.”
A collection of Chauvet Professional Rogue moving fixtures were used to create certain looks at specific points during services and to downlight people on stage in soft colour washes. ASIIS installed six Chauvet Professional Rogue R2 Wash’s, six Rogue R2 Spot’s and 16 Rogue R2 Beam fixtures on mid-stage and downstage truss, as well as on the stage deck.
Andy said: “The Rogues produce very little noise, which allowed us to position them on stage without worrying about having them distract from recorded services. As for the quality of their light, it fit perfectly with the sophisticated camera equipment used by the church.”
Also supporting the quality of the broadcast services are 16 Chauvet Professional Ovation F-165WW Fresnels that were hung on a pipe in front of the stage. The backlighting was provided by three Chauvet Professional Ovation C-640FC lights and 12 Chauvet Professional DJ COLORband PiX units.
To colorise the room in a range of hues, ASIIS positioned 20 Chauvet Professional COLORdash Par-Hex 7 fixtures throughout the worship area.
“The church relies on colour to change the whole mood in the room. The Par-Hex does this very effectively with smooth colour transitions and clean washes,” explained Andy. ASIIS also installed four Chauvet Professional STRIKE 4 multi-formatted fixtures as house lights. The 100-watt COB LED fixtures fill the room with white light, designed to welcome newcomers.
