Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative networked media systems announced the hiring of Sam Ng as Biamp’s Area Manager for greater China and Mike Cast as field sales engineer for emergency communications systems in North America. “Sam is a valuable addition to the Biamp family as we continue our mission of providing stellar support and media system solutions to current and new customers in the greater China area,” said Matthew Packer, Sales Development Director for Biamp Systems in the Asian Pacific region. “His rich expertise and knowledge of both IT and AV, coupled with his insight into the region provides the foundation to further relationships.”
Prior to joining Biamp, Sam led business development efforts in the Hong Kong and Macau region for Extron Electronics Asia in Hong Kong, as well as for AMX Asia. He also held sales, programming and project engineering roles for PAV Technology and Applied Technologies, both based in Hong Kong. In addition his grounding in the business stems back to his bachelor’s of computer science, received from Iowa State University. “Mike possesses the technical know-how and experience that make him a natural fit at Biamp and a great resource for our customers as the demand for messaging and emergency communications systems rapidly increases,” said L. William Nattress, Director of Channel Strategy, insisting further that, “He will be a valuable contributor to Biamp’s emergency communications team.”
With more than 20 years of design and project engineering experience, Mike is a true leader in the technical industry. He most recently worked as the Director of Technical Systems for Ermco, developing standards for engineering processes and procedures in addition to managing leaders across all divisions. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of operations at Fairchild Communications where he oversaw company operations. Mike has also held executive engineering positions at InterDesign Group, Schmidt Associates, Hagerman, Woodwind Contracting and AV Marketing. To emphasise Mike’s perfect fit within the role he also holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering technology received from Purdue University, as well as several industry technical certifications.
