LED screen experts digiLED have opened another dedicated office facility to continue their consistent development over recent months, this time in Tokyo, Japan.
The new location is the second to be unveiled by digiLED in Asia this year, following the opening of its production quality control division in the new Free Trade Zone in the heart of Shenzhen, China.
Accommodating notable regional business growth, the Tokyo office will provide a more concentrated presence in the region and is an accessible venue for product demonstrations and client meetings.
Skilled LED screen industry professionals will be assisting digiLED’s Japanese customers with the latest display technology available at the new office. Managed under the stewardship of Kei Kimura – who has over 30 years’ experience working with display screens since he assisted on a Jumbotron trial with Sony in the 1980s – digiLED Tokyo operation will be supported by Katsu Iinuma, Technical Director Japan, and Hide Nakagawa, Advisor Japan, each providing valuable and extensive technical understanding of LED screen systems.
Nakagawa, previously of Sony too, said: “Worldwide, the digiLED team have considerable experience and technical knowledge in this market having worked on several large display screen projects in recent decades. This solid foundation of expertise will be important in delivering excellent customer support and satisfaction in Japan, and beyond.”
digiLED has had a prolonged presence in the Japanese LED screen market with many outstanding projects completed in the region. The most recent of these installations was finished earlier this year: a hugely impressive 162.5sqm of digiLED Stella M8o LED screen panels dressed the street-facing windows of the Tokyo Samantha Thavasa retail store, attracting passers-by with high brightness and engaging content.
“We are delighted to be working with three such experienced figures in the world of LED displays,” commented Jon Perkins, digiLED Group Technical Sales Manager, responsible for managing digiLED projects in Japan prior to the appointments, including the installation at the high-end retail outlet Samantha Thavasa. “Their comprehensive know-how of LED displays will undoubtedly propel significant growth and develop closer relationships with major global brands in the region.”
“Expansion in the region has been in the pipeline for some time and to accomplish this is evidence of our success and hard work,” explained Graham Burgess, digiLED CEO. “Following the Shenzhen office launch in March, establishing digiLED Tokyo is a critical piece in our growth strategy. The Japanese market is showing encouraging potential and the opening indicates our long-term goal and investment to generating an effective worldwide service that supports its existing customers, as well as enhancing client acquisition opportunities and marketing activities globally.”
digiLED has other offices and sales representatives devoted to various regions worldwide. The company’s headquarters in the UK, The Pixel Depot, is home to Europe’s largest LED screen showroom. digiLED is committed to further expansion plans too, with a facility located in North America closely resembling its UK office dedicated to showcasing products in the diverse, award-winning range to prospective clients.
