Digital Projection has announced the appointment of Thierry Ollivier to the newly created role of EMEA business development manager.
The appointment is in line with the company’s strategic expansion and client support programme in the EMEA region. Reporting to Chris Axford, Digital Projection’s international sales and marketing director, Thierry will support the sales team in joint development of projects on three major projectors and technologies aimed at specific markets, namely the INSIGHT 4K HFR 360 for VR, the INSIGHT 8K for broadcast, simulation and planetarium applications, and the next generation of Satellite MLS (Modular Laser System), which will all be showcased at ISE 2020.
Thierry joins Digital Projection with 25 years of experience in the AV industry, having worked in several sales management positions including vice president of sales for projection design and sales director for Barco. Thierry also ran his own business in strategic development consultancy, specialising in AV, Simulation, Virtual Reality and Digital Cinema.
Commenting on his new position, Thierry said, “Digital Projection has a reputation for innovation and technical advancement. In addition, the company has developed an extremely responsive and customer orientated sales and support team in recent years, some of whom are former colleagues, so I already feel at home.”
Thierry Ollivier will be on hand at ISE’s Innovation Zone in Hall 14 (stand B100) where attendees will have the opportunity to experience the latest in virtual collaboration thanks to two Digital Projection MultiView VR systems showing how virtual reality can be used in a truly immersive and collaborative way.
