Fohhn Audio AG has announced the appointment of CMI Music & Audio Pty Ltd as its first ever distributor for Australia. The new partnership agreement, which was signed, sealed and announced at this year’s Prolight & Sound in Frankfurt, results from three years of discussion between the two companies. “At Fohhn, we select our distribution partners very carefully, as it has to be right for both parties” says Sales & Marketing Director Uli Haug. “As CMI were also undergoing some restructuring, we decided to go ahead only when the time was completely right. It has, however, been worth the wait as CMI are not only thoroughly professional but also have an honest and open-minded team who share our passion for audio.”
The distribution appointment enables CMI to respond to the growing demand for loudspeaker systems with Beam Steering technology, delivering high performance systems with the capacity to reproduce live music and deliver excellent levels of speech intelligibility. “Having thoroughly researched the market back in 2014, we knew that Fohhn Audio with their Linea Focus series offered those criteria and more,” says Peter Trojkovic, CEO and Director of Audio. “However, we decided to resist jumping in so that we could restructure our technical department by adding qualified personnel to better accommodate the Fohhn brand.”
