At Prolight & Sound 2025 in Frankfurt, Harmonic Design presented its brand-new hd BS10 BatterySpeakerSystem for the first time. The German manufacturer with in-house development and production is setting new standards for mobile audio applications with this compact battery-powered active loudspeaker.
The hd BS10 combines flexibility, performance, and cutting-edge technology in a particularly lightweight and rugged enclosure. Weighing only 10 kg and equipped with two hot-swappable 18V battery slots (compatible with common brand batteries), the system allows for completely wireless operation. Alternatively, it can be powered via mains.
A powerful 96 kHz / 32-bit FIR DSP based on the highly efficient hd SpaceAMP platform with 8 input channels offers extensive audio processing, including EQ, gate, compressor, reverb, chorus, delay, and flexible routing options like pre/post AUX out. All settings can be conveniently adjusted via a 4-inch touch display or controlled remotely via WiFi and dedicated software.
It features a fully configurable external speaker output with a maximum power of 250W (4 ohms), allowing the system to drive passive extensions such as the hd BS10P, additional tops, or a subwoofer.
It also features phantom power (input channels 1 & 2), two 9.5-inch rackmount brackets with 12/15 VDC outputs for installing wireless receivers, and a wide range of connectivity options.
