Previewed at ISE 2023 and debuted at InfoComm 2023, the new DirectLight Pro Series is a ground-up designed LED video wall that delivers beautiful imagery for indoor, fixed installations, whilst raising the bar on versatility and lifetime value.
These cutting-edge LED video walls feature a modular design for the creation of custom sizes, shapes, corners, curves, and resolutions.
They feature front service for easy maintenance and high-bandwidth video transport to deliver high brightness and outstanding image performance, and come in a range of popular pixel pitches down to sub-1mm.
For wider processing and feature flexibility, the displays are compatible with the Planar WallDirector Video Controller, as well as Brompton Technology and Colorlight LED video processors. This winning combination reduces deployment complexity and maximises overall efficiency.
The Leyard DirectLight Pro Series is offered in popular Leyard Europe Complete display configurations including 109-inch, 137-inch, 164-inch, 198-inch and 219-inch to reduce the time, complexity and cost of designing and installing LED walls.
The product is also designed to be deployed efficiently in custom video wall dimensions and resolutions through the use of two cabinet sizes and a 5G video architecture.
In addition to enabling faster deployment, the 27-inch and 36-inch cabinets allow for precision and simpler, more easily supported video walls.
“DirectLight Pro takes the best characteristics of our most popular LED displays and creates the next level fine pitch LED platform using innovative, new technology,” said Cris Tanghe, VP Product Europe at Leyard Europe.
“And the fact that it is manufactured at our European factory gives all the advantages of local production, including helping to mitigate delivery times and the environmental impact of transportation.”
DirectLight Pro Series comes also with a market-leading Lifetime Evercare warranty. The unique Leyard Europe Evercare Lifetime Limited Warranty is comprehensive, covering the product as long as the end customer continues to own and use it in a fixed location.
It covers the entire product from controller to sub-pixel, including every component in between.
With 1,000-nit brightness in constant operation and models in 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8mm pixel pitches, viewers benefit from vibrant colours and greater image detail, even in higher ambient light environments. The DirectLight Pro Series also supports rich media playback, including HDR.
The new DirectLight Pro Series’ design provides the flexibility to accommodate installations requiring front tilts, 90° corners and faceted curves, enabling the series to reach an even wider set of applications.
It is also available with Planar ERO-LED (Extended Ruggedness and Optics) protective coating for safety in high-traffic areas and supports 32-point touch for interactive applications.
With support for a range of video controllers, the DirectLight Pro Series can be further tailored to different application needs, both on and off-camera.
The new LED video wall platform is well suited for conference and boardrooms, lobby displays, control rooms, on-camera broadcast studios, education environments and beyond.
The DirectLight Pro Series was developed to support innovative features today and into the future. A five-times higher bandwidth architecture streamlines large video walls, reduces cable counts, and simplifies custom-sized video walls.
The additional bandwidth also delivers support for advanced features today and new features in the future.
The dynamic LED platform requires less cables and other components, offering streamlined installation and maintenance. In addition to enabling faster deployment, the DirectLight Pro Series’ 27-inch and 36-inch cabinets combine precise dimensional fit with reduced support complexity.
DirectLight Pro Series displays are designed for mission-critical environments in extended or continuous operations.
They come with an optional and monitored N+1 power redundancy per cabinet. For maximum power saving and safety, switched, and metred PDUs are also offered as optional accessories.
The controlled switch-off of the displays allows power cost and CO2 savings, and the highest security for IT and AV infrastructures.
