Swiss based pro audio specialist, Go Wild AG has added Martin Audio to its large portfolio of distributed brands covering the MI, studio and installation / rental sectors.
According to Go Wild CEO, Mike Gorsatt, the underlying reason behind the new partnership was simple. “As we have direct contact with many pro audio installers and engineers it was clear that we needed a professional speaker manufacturer in our roster, as many installers are requesting proposals for a turnkey solution, incorporating all the components for a project.”
Aside from buying into Martin Audio’s breakthrough technology, another compelling reason for cementing the partnership was the long-term relationship that Go Wild has already enjoyed with parent company Loud Technologies, through the distribution of the Mackie and Ampeg brands.
Go Wild will immediately be targeting the small to mid size installation segment with Martin Audio components, notably bars, restaurants, clubs and conference centres. Mike knows the timing couldn’t be better with the launch of the ground-breaking new CDD range. “This product line offers us the greatest potential to start the business relationship,” he explained. “However we will also keep in touch with the rental companies, since Martin Audio is also well represented in Switzerland for live sound.”
Go Wild has been able to hit the ground running, with training at company HQ in High Wycombe already under their belts “and excellent support via email and phone.” As a result they have immediately been able to incorporate the brand into their seminar plans, while briefing reps who will be demoing systems out on the road.
Martin Audio’s director of sales, Simon Bull, is in no doubt about Go Wild’s pedigree. “They are one of the very few real pro audio distributors in this small country with an outstanding reputation in both installation and live sound,” he said. “Furthermore, they are the only pro audio distributor in Switzerland with a German, French and Italian speaking sales force, enabling them to approach each part of Switzerland.”
Go Wild AG was founded in Zug back in 1988 by Hans Wild, as a distribution company for both MI and pro audio brands. The company originally specialising in the conferencing market before moving systematically into the installation business.
