Located in Las Vegas, NV, Calvary Chapel Spring Valley is a growing group of worshippers who are dedicated to building a strong educational foundation through the Calvary Chapel Christian School.
The school’s congregation has now amazingly outgrown their current facility, which has resulted with their worship service being temporarily relocated to the school’s gymnasium. Calvary Chapel incorporated LED video technology into the gymnasium environment and did so using FLEXLite 3.99mm LED from PixelFLEX.
Tony Monto, Worship and Young Adults Pastor spoke of the temporary relocation: “Even from the beginning of our campaign, we wanted LED video in our new worship facility, but knew that creating a more ideal environment in the gymnasium during our relocation was of utmost importance.” Tony’s worship felt that it was pivotel to obtain the best quality LED product whilst sticking to a budget. Also what had to be taken into account was size and weight so as to not affect the structure of the gymnasium. Tony stated how the FLEXLite system has speeded the time of setting up a morning service rehearsal due to the choice of the LED wall: “My IT guy and I arrive on Sunday at 6am to make sure it’s up by 7:30am for morning service rehearsal, but it really only takes us about 45 minutes to get it ready to go. This was a critical component in selecting which LED wall to use and the FLEXLite has worked perfectly.”
The LED wall created ease for the pastor to deliver to his congregation, which would help transform the gymnasium into a homely worship environment.
The FLEXLite LED video wall is now used for all the projection elements within the worship service and the ProPresenter is utlised for all lyrics and videos, whilst the pastor uses Keynote to display his sermon notes for speaking to the congregation. Tony also stated how the FLEXLite LED system has dramatically improved the projector’s brightness and vibrancy for the content.
