Digital signal processing specialist Symetrix has furthered its commitment to the Indian systems integration market with the appointment of Miyakawa Drives & Controls as sub-distributor for the Maharashtra region, working under the aegis of main distributor AWAN India.
Home to more than 110 million people – 18 million of them alone in the capital city of Mumbai – Maharashtra is India’s third largest state and is located in the western region of the country. Going forward AWAN will work with sub-distributor Miyakawa Drives & Controls to optimise the reach of the Symetrix range in this pivotal area.
Established in 1999, Miyakawa Drives & Controls has matured into one of India’s most in-demand distributors and importers of pro-audio products and control technology. Alongside Symetrix, its distribution portfolio includes Belden, Neutrik, Community Professional, Powersoft, Tannoy and Lab.gruppen, among other internationally respected brands.
“The company has a long history of working alongside high-end brands, so we are sure that they will do a brilliant job with Symetrix,” said Awan Managing Director, Prasad E.S. “In particular, I expect the SymNet Radius and Edge units to strike a chord with customers in this region. Miyakawa Drives & Controls also has a great track-record of working closely with systems integrators and building strong relationships with them – and that will obviously be an asset to Symetrix as well.”
For Miyakawa Drives & Controls Director, Sanjay Chitroda, said that his team is “very enthusiastic about working with the Symetrix brand and taking steps to ensure that it connects with as many potential customers as possible in Mumbai and the surrounding region.”
