The Allianz Portugal headquarters upgrades with Sony

Present in more than 70 countries, the Allianz Group was established in Portugal in 1999 following the merger of “Portugal Previdente” and the century-old “Sociedade Portuguesa de Seguros” and has developed a strong presence in Portugal since its inception.

Proof of this is the building of its headquarters in Lisbon and the profound audiovisual remodelling it has carried out in its auditorium. A space that Allianz wanted to redesign to offer conferences, hybrid meetings and events with a large video and audio capture capacity and a flexible lighting system.

For this project, integrator Garrett Audiovisuais relied on Sony and carried out a refurbishment of the auditorium including two SRG-X120 cameras, the Sony RM-IP500 camera controller and the VPL-FHZ91L projector, as well as deploying a new sound system and acoustic treatment.

Allianz Portugal was looking to incorporate a new audiovisual solution into its auditorium, a space designed for conferences and events that needed to be upgraded to include video conferencing and live streaming capabilities.

With this in mind, integrator Garret Audiovisuais took on the task of redesigning the auditorium, creating an environment that fully meets Allianz’s current needs and expectations. The system includes two Sony SRG-X120 cameras, which, controlled manually via the RM-IP500 PTZ, allow fixed angles of the audience to be captured without the need for automatic tracking. Projection is also guaranteed thanks to the VPL-FHZ91L projector with 3LCD technology, whose powerful 13,000 lumens light output ensures high quality presentations even in brightly lit spaces. Finally, an existing 75″ Sony monitor, integrated into the system and managed through a control desk, either in manual or assisted mode.

“We wanted to renovate our auditorium and equip it with an audio and video capture system that was capable of transmitting in high resolution. The solution installed by Garrett with the SONY equipment provided enabled us to achieve this goal,” comments the Allianz project manager who closely monitored the installation.

“It was an interesting project from the beginning and challenging at the same time. We had to adapt some of the equipment to make it more user-friendly. The Sony cameras with the remote-control add-on made this solution a real success. The client was very satisfied with the overall quality achieved, especially with the streaming for which this system is normally used,” added Filipe Marques, AV Technician from Garrett Audiovisuais.
